The first PDA to have an integrated hard drive is the Zaurus SL-C3000. The Zaurus SL-C3000 is a continuation of Sharp's successful PDA line that uses the Linux operating system. The new Zaurus has 128 MB of memory but what breaks new ground for a PDA is the 1 inch 4 GB hard drive. Yes a 4 GB hard in a PDA. I have one thing to say about that its about time. Its said to have 7 hours of battery life which i think is great for having a interal hard drive. Other niceties include the ability to operate as a USB drive, SD and CF slots, irDA, and media playback of MP3, WMA, and MPEG-4 video files. Expect the new Zaurus to go on sale November 15 in Japan. You should be able get your sweaty mitts on these in the West shortly thereafter.
