I will lift up my eyes

Psalm 121:1-8 (A song of ascents.)
詩篇第一百二十一篇（上行之詩。）

1 I lift up my eyes to the hills—where does my help come from?
我要向山舉目；我的幫助從何而來﹖
2 My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
我的幫助從造天地的耶和華而來。
3 He will not let your foot slip—he who watches over you will not slumber;
他必不叫你的腳搖動；保護你的必不打盹！
4 indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
保護以色列的，也不打盹也不睡覺。
5 The LORD watches over you— the LORD is your shade at your right hand;
保護你的是耶和華；耶和華在你右邊蔭庇你。
6 the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night.
白日，太陽必不傷你；夜間，月亮必不害你。
7 The LORD will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life;
耶和華要保護你，免受一切的災害；他要保護你的性命。
8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.
你出你入，耶和華要保護你，從今時直到永遠。

註
詩篇一百二十至一百卅四篇（共十五篇）被稱為「上行之詩」，意思就是『爬上耶路撒冷時所唱的詩歌』。這些詩歌猶太人亡國七十年以後，歸回耶路撒冷重建城牆及聖殿完成之後，他們與神重新立約的聚會所唱的。這些詩歌中有些在前面註明（所羅門上行之詩）或（大衛上行之詩），並不是指作者，而是指詩歌的內容是按照所羅門的方式寫的，其中的127及128兩篇的內容跟家庭有關。事實上這兩篇詩篇用了一種雙關語法，一方面是跟家庭有關的內容，同時也啟示人與神之間的關係。
