First off..................It's good to see you having fun w/b&w Redrocks!!   I won't ask you how much, because I know how much.
 
This is of a frosted glass ash tray, it certainly looks like an ash tray but there's a possibility it's something else.   I can certainly shoot something w/o being positive as to what it is.
 
This artifact is sitting on a light table I use for my transparencies and so it's being illuminated from below.
