The city of New York has rebounded remarkably since the events of September 11, 2001. As Manhattan has boomed, with new buildings and the emergence of new neighborhoods, the boroughs of New York continue to welcome new immigrant groups. These photographs begin to explore some of the polyglot nature of the city: from the Manhattan scene to Mexicans in Sunset Park (Brooklyn), East Indians in Jackson Heights (Queens) Arabs and Norwegians in Bay Ridge (Brooklyn), to the young in Williamsburg (Brooklyn).
