What you might consider
Do you know anyone who works at metal foundry that has scrap metal? I purchase small sheets of aluminum from scrap at a metal foundry here to use as base where I place my still lifes/objects on.
You can place your sheet metal on a stool so it's paralell to the ground(place the stool and sheet metal next to a white wall).
Bounce the illumination of one of your lights off the wall onto your object which is sitting on the aluminum. You'll get some very interesting effects since the aluminum is very reflective.
If you don't have access to aluminum sheet metal, you can experiment/place the aluminum foil by rolling this out on top of a table(the dull side of the aluminum foil).
It's of course up to you and anyone else that would like to experiment with this, I'll just say that I do it, and it's provided a lot of fun for me.
A thought anyway.
Take care
