I use Adobe Premiere PRO which gives me enough control over what I do. Premiere PRO is only a mid-way product for video editing. I've tried pro versions of Pinacle and Vegas which are even more complicated. I don't do much video editing these days as it's way too time consuming. I don't use Chinese either.

As I said, those pixel numbers are irrelevant to video resolution. If more "video actual pixels" are used, it only means more than one sensor cells are used to compose one image pixel in MiniDV format. The term "video actual pixels" or "effective pixel" itself is confusing and purposefuly so as most average consumers don't know anything other than pixel count. The said resolutions are for still image, more of a marketing gimmick for people interested in taking still photos with the same camcorder. It has nothing to do with video resolution and in fact, if the CCD sizes are the same on both camcorders, the more pixels on the CCD, the smaller each pixel is and thus less light sensitive. 同事的一位朋友，带500多张D版DVD在美国海关被查出来，主要是美国电影。每张DVD罚款200美刀，总共十万来罚款。开始卖房子了。 冒这个风险值吗? 用Netflix租片子，不过平均每张DVD一块来钱。D版人民币也得10块吧。200美刀的罚款风险太大鸟吧。
