If you look for an eye in the green area, you'll see it gazing back at you. Yes the focus was very shallow and deliberately set to make the top of the bottle and the etching of the flowers look sharp. The very shallow focus is because the bottle is very close to the lens. The green area below is an interplay of focused and out of focus areas of the glass.

Look at the green area of the bottle, and just right of center, and the you'll see the eye looking back at you, this eye and part of her cheek is a double exposure, so the eye was merger with the rest of the green area.
