我不记得你说的女佣一事，回过去又看了一遍她的生平，你可能指的是这一段：
“At the outbreak of World War II, Clarke was in the US vsiting her two brothers, and was unable to obtain a visa to return to Britain. She lived for a while with her brothers' families and then in 1942 took a position as a governess for a family in Connecticut.”
governess是家庭女教师，音乐之声中的马丽亚那种。康州是美国富翁爱待的地方，我想象她住在别墅里教孩子音乐。
